Singapore Orchids

It's been a few days since I was able to post anything. Not least because my Camera decided to die (or at least pass out) when we were on the ORIENT EXPRESS at the weekend - every photographer's nightmare, let down by the hardware in a situation that demands visually documenting.

Suffice to say, we'll have to go again, and I'll take a spare.

Anyway, today, I decided to try out a little macro protography, and where better than the Orchid Garden in the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

There's a very pretty fountain as you enter, and I shot it (below) just for forms sake, but then I took off the normal lens and switched to macro.

So, here are a few of the shots I managed to get. There's been a little post-processing in Lightroom, but I'm sure you'll forgive me that...

I think I did OK, for a relative newcomer to macro.

More posts soon, I hope.
